See the original hike here:    • Australia's best long distance hike: 700km...   Today I revisit a section of that track for an overnight hike and wild camping on a hidden beach. The south coast of NSW crosses some of the most spectacular coastline in Australia. With massive eucalypt spotted gum forest that meets crystal clear waters, superb fairy wrens as natures alarm clock, whales migrating south to keep you company, epic sea cliffs, folded rock formations and hidden beaches that make you feel like you are the only person on earth. This walk links up many popular trails but it also requires a lot of navigation and imagination to find the best and most enjoyable track. They are currently thinking about making this a formal trail. I think it will be one of the best hiking trails in Australia.
