Shaike Paikov - Yeshayahu Paikov Shaike Paikov (born July 5th, 1937, Tel Aviv) is an Israeli composer/songwriter and orchestra conductor from from Kibbutz Ashdot Yaakov in the Jordan Valley. After military service in 1958, Paikov went to Oranim Academic College, a teacher training school in Kiryat Tiv’on near Haifa and also studied modern music privately with composer Abel Ehrlich. In 1961 Paikov became a qualified elementary teacher and music teacher. He taught music at schools all over the north of Israel until 1975 when he devoted himself fully to composing. He has more than 700 songs to his credit. Paikov's songs have represented Israel at the Eurovision Song Contest in 1989 and 1993. He also conducted the orchestra in 1989 in support of singers Gili Netanel and Galit Burg. Dudu Zakai - Israeli singer Dudu Zakai was born in Kibbutz Ein Hashofet. During his military service, he was a part of the Central Command band. His musical style and the content of his lyrics were greatly affected by the places where he has grown, and some of his songs were written by members of the kibbutz movement. Prominent themes of his music were love of country, the kibbutz life, the world of children and many of his songs became used as standards for folk dances. Today, Dudu Zakai’s songs have become a symbol of the innocence of Israel in its early years and are often played on Israeli radio stations.Among some of his well known songs are “Eretz, Eretz”, “Eretz Yisrael Yafa”, “Nachal Naaran”, “Nifgashnu Shuv” and many more. Some of the artists that have collaborated with Dudu Zakai in writing his music are Naomi Shemer, Shaike Feikov, Mati Caspi, Yoram Teharlev, Mira Meir, Avraham Zigman, Rachel Shapira and Yuval Ben-Ozer. Doron Mazar - Israeli singer Doron Mazar was born in Raanana .Mazar served in the mid-1970s in the Southern Command band alongside Natan Datner, Natan Nathanson and Udi Buchman.After several years in Paris, where he recorded songs in French, Mazar returned to Israel in 1984 and first burst into the public consciousness when he recorded a Hebrew version of Shimrit Orr for Toto Cotonio's song "L'italiano" ("The Italian"), which is called in Hebrew "I return home" ".In 1985, he participated for the first time in the 1985 Eurovision Song Contest with the song "The Revel" (lyrics: Ilan Goldhirsh, music: Doron Mazar and Nancy Brands, arrangement: Nancy Brands) which came in seventh place in the competition.In 1986 he participated again in the pre-Eurovision 1986 with the song "Playing me ballaika" (lyrics: Shimrit Or, melody and arrangement: Nancy Brands) with which he came in second place.In 1999, he conducted the election jingle of "one Israel" Party.
