Understanding FreeCAD 17: Easy and simple car tyre and tread | Part Design | Beginners Tutorial

Using FreeCAD we learn how to create a tyre along with tread using partial revolves and patterns. We create the tyre using a profile that is revolved and then remove material with grooves which are patterned to create the tread. We model half the wheel and after we use two methods to mirror and join the other half. We learn how to use a clone and a boolean in the part design workbench and also how to utilise the part workbench to mirror the object utilising two workbenches at once.
