for many, this isn't a season of "togetherness," but a time where you're violently confronted by the silence of your loneliness. whether by choice, by circumstance, or because you’re sitting in a crowded room feeling entirely unseen, the weight is the same. loneliness often tells a lie: that you are unchosen because you are broken. and as someone who often hears and at times listens to this lie, i know it's a lie. and that's what i wanted to reiterate today whether you share my faith in Jesus or you’re just observing the journey, there is a fundamental truth to be found in the quiet: you are seen. you are not "spare parts" or a "rough draft" for something better. you are a soul within a story that is still being written. and i don't know about you but not many stories have the characters knowing exactly how the story goes, so how could we possibly know how ours progresses? to my fellow believers, as someone who struggles to fully internalize how much Jesus loves me, i know this to be the truth: Christ isn't just a King on a distant throne; He is the one who stepped into this cold broken world to meet us in the darkness unknown. He is the witness to our unwitnessed hours. the dryer of our secretly shed tears (i've had many haha). i reckon if we draw near, He is there, not as a "feeling" that solves every problem, but as a presence that sustains us through the struggle. i know that is the only thing that keeps me going even in the face of unimaginable sorrow/pain. an everlasting hope. Psalms 34:18-19 The LORD is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit. The righteous person may have many troubles, but the LORD delivers him from them all. Matthew 5:3-4 Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted. also, the world might not see you, but the One who made it does you aren't being left behind. You’re being prepared for a weight you can't carry yet. Inspired by: warm winter hug 🫂 anu eletu Godspeed. Instagram: / valiant.poet
