Justice for Jayaraj and his son Bennicks/Fenix

If you haven't been living under a rock, or the aegis of the government backed news channels, you've probably heard of Jayaraj and Bennicks (Fenix, there's a little uncertainty with what is the exact name of the victim). In case you missed it and are grappling with the FOMO of context: a father-son duo was beaten up brutally, imprisoned, abused and murdered. They kept their mobile shop open beyond the allowed hours in Tuticorin and paid for it with their lives. Their blood stained clothes were sent to their homes and a fresh set of clothes was demanded. Thrice. What's also disturbing in the mix is that this issue did not get the media coverage it deserved. Was it suppressed or whether the news agencies really were unaware and couldn't cover this story, is immaterial. We MUST demand justice. In a country where the power rests in the hand of select few, we must not forget the platforms we have access to. In such times, it is our responsibility to use them to the maximum. If you can't do anything about it, the least you can do is share more awareness.
