I have always been thrilled by Akira Ifukube's music. Let alone, his strategy of reworking motifs. Hearing his older scores excited me just as much as his more famous/prominent ones because I could recognize them as what they would later become. One piece in particular I have always been fascinated by is the track "Requiem" from "Godzilla vs Destoroyah" (1995). A detailed written breakdown of the track is in my Reddit post "A breakdown of Akira Ifukube's "Requiem" from "Godzilla vs Destoroyah" (1995) [VIDEO AND DESCRIPTION]". The video is the visual comparison of the whole project. Thus, the Reddit post is the written breakdown while the video is the audio breakdown by comparing "Requiem" with the melodies reworked for the piece. As for the poster used to represent Sakuma Dam Part 2, I couldn't find a proper poster specifically for the movie, so I used what I found as a best fit. And as for the funeral panel image of Godzilla used as a representative visual, I tried recreating it as close as possible but I could not find identical flower frames, so I went with something as close as possible to create the edit with the Godzilla photo. The resultant is a funeral panel that's meant to emulate the look of the official one put on display for the Godzilla funeral service event held on December 3rd, 1995, just 6 days before "Godzilla vs Destoroyah" (1995) was released theatrically. 0:00 Introduction 0:07 Part 1: original melodies 0:10 "Godzilla" (1954) - "Bingo-Maru Sinking" 0:35 "Boss of the Underworld" (1959) - "Main Title" 2:33 "Rodan" (1956) - "Ending" 6:13 "Sakuma Dam Part 2" (1955) - "Removing Soil and Sand" 7:25 Godzilla march 10:43 Part 2: "Requiem" All rights belong to Toho Co., Ltd., as well as Akira Ifukube.
