Back To Basics Boomerang! Airfix CA-13 Boomerang Plastic Model Kit in 1/72 Scale - Build & Review

The Commonwealth CA-13 Boomerang was a fighter aircraft that was developed for the Royal Australian Air Force during the Second World War. Whilst based on elements from the earlier Wirraway training/general purpose aircraft, it would feature developments that would make it more suited to the fighter role. Join me on the workbench in this video as I build and review the Airfix CA-13 Boomerang plastic model kit (A02099V) in 1/72 scale - a model that made a return in 2022 in the Vintage Classics range! During this build, I will complete the kit in a "back to basics" style, focusing on simpler techniques that I would have used in my youth, primarily exploring hand painting and trying out some Lifecolor paints for the first time! I explore the steps to complete the build, from preparing the parts, painting and decal application with some subtle weathering, rounding off the review with a summary and sharing my thoughts.
