LOGAN RIVER FISHING 6TH FEB 2026

I travelled down to the Logan River to see if I could pick up a flathead or two. My first point of call was at Marks Rocks where I was targeting bream and flathead. I was fishing with dough and bread for the bream and I was using a pilchard for the flathead. After a little more than an hour I zipped back up to the banks near the old gazebo to try and get that elusive flathead. I had no chance - I think I caught about 8 catfish in 30 minutes - they were in plague proportions. I couldn't soak a bait long enough for a flathead, within a couple of minutes the line would take off we a bloody catfish on the other end. Logan River can be like that some days. Anyway - I ended up with a feed of bream and it was a beautiful day - so no complaints from me.
