Milan Smit’s last-minute penalty earned Stoke City a point against promotion chasing Ipswich Town at the bet365 Stadium. Mark Robins’ side, who started with an average starting XI age of 23 years and 286 days, put the visitors to the sword in the first half as the Dutchman and Bae Junho's goals secured a two-goal advantage at the interval. The Tractor Boys, however, turned the game around in the second half when Wes Burns’ shot took a fortuitous deflection off Eric Bocat to wrong foot Tommy Simkin before Jack Taylor volleyed in an equaliser soon after the hour. The visitors thought they’d secured all three points when substitute George Hirst converted to send the Blues 3-2 ahead, though after substitute Lamine Cissé was brought down in the box by Cédric Kipré, Smit stepped up to fire past Christian Walton to earn the Potters a hard-fought point.
