ETC-159 is a selective small molecule inhibitor of Porcupine, a key component of the Wnt signalling pathway. Developed in collaboration with Duke-NUS, it has completed Phase 1B trials and showed promising outcomes for patients with platinum-resistant ovarian cancer. One such patient, Iren, with her husband Kevin, share about their journey and how Iren found renewed life through the ETC-159 clinical trial. Alongside her, Veronica Diermayr from EDDC, A/Prof David Tan from NCIS, and Prof David Virshup from Duke-NUS delve into the science, collaboration, and inspiration behind this made-in-Singapore oncology drug. Titled “Little Drug, Big Hope”, watch how a small but powerful drug is transforming lives and offering new hope to patients like Iren who face limited options. We want to thank David Tan and David Virshup for offering their voices and perspectives in this video, as well as NCIS, NUHS and Duke-NUS for their collaborative efforts in making stories like this possible. Most important of all, we want to thank Iren and Kevin for sharing their story and offering hope to others. It was a privilege for us to have the chance to work on this production with them! ETC-159 is beginning its Investigator-Initiated Trial at NUHS focused on patients with advanced MSS/pMMR ovarian cancers.
