Niamh Strong @ The Irish Arts Show

This week The Irish Arts Show welcomes an incredible singer-songwriter: Niamh Strong. The best way to describe her voice, is to think of a beautiful tapestry with many vibrant colours or to think of blues, soul and jazz. Niamh first lifted a microphone at the tender age of 9, when her father was jamming with other musicians and done a blues run that astonished everyone. She was born into one of Ireland's top musical families, the “Strong” family. Her father, Rob Strong, is a legendary blues singer. Her brother, Andrew Strong, is known as “Deco Cuff” from the movie "The Commitments. During her career Niamh has travelled to every part of the world and has performed at many large festivals and arenas throughout Europe, USA, Australia and Canda. In March 2018 Niamh completed her new album, "Niamh Strong Sings Eva Cassidy". For the show Niamh is accompanied by Mark Dudley on guitar.
