Travel to Constantine City, Algeria in 2025 and you'll find AFRICA'S MOST BEAUTIFUL CITY. Why? Because Constantine is situated on a multi-leveled plateau, high above the Rhumel River and has several stunning bridges spanning the different neighborhoods. I arrived in town on a very special day - the AMAZIGH (Berber) NEW YEAR, so the city was bustling with excitement! Walking around the city, I met many friendly Algerian People, enjoyed delicious shakshuka and couscous for lunch, toured the AHMED BEY PALACE, explored the AMIR ABDEL KHADER MOSQUE, and got invited on a HOUSE TOUR by the owner of a restaurant! Then I took a day trip to TIMGAD, the largest Roman ruins in Northern Africa, called the "Pompei of Northern Africa". It was created as a military colony by the Emperor Trajan in 100 AD and its perfectly lined out streets illustrate the height of Roman planning. This is a site NOT to be missed! Finally, back in Constantine City, I spend the day shopping and chit chatting with various shop owners, before taking a hike to the STRANGEST WATERFALL IN THE WORLD. Why is it so strange?
