After having not ridden his bike for over a month because of loaning it to Tim, Dylan had a perfect example of target fixation and laid his bike down off the edge of a cliff. Spooked by the cliffside, he slammed on the brakes, stood up and straightened out, and let the front tire slide out on the gravel, sending the bike off the side and sliding down the cliff. Dylan immediately went for his bike sliding down the hill to stop it from going down further. Luckily Rick was following behind and saw the crash happen and turned around to help. It took 8 riders to pull the bike up the cliff with a tow strap hooked on the front tire. Rider was not injured and bike only suffered fairing damage and a broken bar end mirror.
