Date Of Filming: 13/10/2024 Filmed With: Google Pixel 7 Pro & Redmi Note 10 Pro This is just a small compilation of random clips that I recorded during the opening day of Belfast Grand Central station for rail services on Sunday 13th October 2024. The first video was recorded by my Dad on his phone because my phone randomly shut down just as the an Enterprise train (hauled by 206 with D.V.T. 9004) pulled into platform 5 E.C.S. from York Road depot in order to form the first ever passenger service to depart the station, being the 08:05 Enterprise service to Connolly. I then travelled on this train to Lisburn station and so the next clip is of 9004 and 206 departing Lisburn station platform 1 with the 08:18 departure. Then I went over to platform 2 to catch the very first passenger service into the new station, being Translink N.I. Railways No.4012 (unrefurbished set at the time), and so 4012 is seen arriving with the 08:54 arrival of the 08:30 service from Portadown to Belfast Grand Central. Then once back at Belfast Grand Central station, I filmed Translink N.I. Railways No.3022 arriving at platform 2 with an E.C.S. movement, in preparation to work the first ever Larne-bound train from the new station. Then at platform 7 I filmed 4012 departing on the very first Portadown line service from the station, being the 09:35 service to Portadown. Then I filmed 3022 departing on the 09:45 service to Larne Harbour, the very first Belfast Grand Central to Larne Harbour service. Then I filmed Translink N.I. Railways No.4013 arriving into platform 2 filmed from the end of platform 7 with 10:00 Ex-Larne Harbour service, being the very first Larne line train to arrive at the station. Finally I filmed the second Enterprise train to depart the station, being driven by 9003 and the locomotive was 227 'River Laune'. It is seen departing platform 5 with the 10:05 service to Connolly. Overall it was a fantastic day and almost a year later, I still have very fond memories of the day. It really is a brilliant new station.
