THEOLOGION (I created a word for this because it fits!) It's the Logos piercing thick darkness — where despair becomes doxology, where the grave clothes of sin are torn by glorious resurrection truth and light. ❤️🔥❤️🔥 A goth feels the weight of existence — the pain of brokenness, the eyes of the abyss staring back, yet there is that hidden hunger for transcendence. They wander moonlit graveyards not to despair, but to feel alive in the face of death. They crave mystery, ritual, the numinous shiver down the spine when eternity brushes mortal skin. What happens when this 'weight' encounters the WEIGHT OF GLORY? What if 'gothic' can also be a valid redeemed expression, not so much the fascination with demonic and morbidity, but of coming face to face with the revelatory truth as found in the Word. So Gothic Theologion? It's the fusion: heaven's voice echoing through ruined abbeys of sin, Christ's blood conquering the blackness of our pathetic rebellion, redemption manifesting through distorted guitars (and more melodic strains), of angelic choirs buried in fog. Divine declarations whispered (then roared) from the crypts of doubt into cathedrals of faith. "Even in this ruin, God speaks!" The deep goth feeling? That exquisite ache when beauty and pain kiss — and win. The cross amplifies this 100-fold. The cross lament turned into a litany of triumph. My lyrics are not pop-fluff dressed up as a trendy worship chorus (and I love many worship choruses too). But I also want to explore the RAW HARD REALITIES OF SIN AND DAMNATION and write laments, not avoiding issues of heaven and hell, nor covering them over with theologic absurdities and rewrites. This is redemption in the ruins, hope haunting the haunted, the Holy Ghost brooding over graveyards till corpses dance! (think Ezekiel's bones here - haha) Black lace theology meets crimson redemption. Gothic Theologions encounter the wound that heals the world! Shalom!
