But God never meets us in the version of ourselves we pretend to be. He meets us in the truth. Scripture shows us that God draws near to the brokenhearted, not the polished. Jesus invited people to bring their wounds, not their masks. Vulnerability isn’t weakness—it’s worship. It’s the courage to say, “Lord, here I am. All of me. Even the parts I’ve tried to hide.” When we stop hiding, healing begins. When we stop pretending, connection grows. When we stop protecting ourselves, God becomes our protection. Prayer: “Lord, tear down the walls I’ve built. Meet me in the places I’ve concealed. Teach me to trust You with the parts of me I’ve been afraid to reveal.
