19th Century Scottish Folk song about a guy that kills a policeman for giving him a hard time about his ethnicity. The title actually means "Ireland Forever", but it appears that this chap uses it as a pseudonym for whatever reason. "Auld Reekie" is a colloquial term the Scottish people of old called Edinburgh. Glowert means "Stared Menacingly", pat or paddy means Irishman, see if you can work the rest out!! I play chords here on the guitar, but based my version loosely around that of Dick Gaughan's excellent rendition of the same, you should check that one out on YouTube for some grandiose picking at breakneck speed!! I also added a little bit of mandolin in here to beef it up a bit.
