FINAL GARDEN HARVEST | HOMESTEAD DAY IN THE LIFE

Hey everyone! today is a little homestead day in the life, Zack does the final garden harvest, and we harvest all of our pumpkins and decorate the porch with them! This is the time of year that we need to start really prepping for next year, planning what DID work and what didn't. We also are going to be processing ALL of this food into sauces, freeze drying the onions for onion powder, storing potatoes for winter cooking and prepping for our upcoming harvest party! I think this year too, I will process the pumpkins into pumpkin puree for future baking. Zack also talks to you in this video about why tomatoes split and what our amendments will be for next years garden in light of the issues we've had this year (potato blight, inconsistent watering even with drip irrigation) etc. I hope you enjoy!
