Our caravan, the Mountain Trail LXV 6.7 is 2 1/2 years old now, and in that time I have implanted several upgrades to make the caravan easier to live with and to overcome what I consider to be some of the initial design flaws! The biggest upgrade was the improvement to the caravan power system, specifically upgrading the battery charging system and overcoming some of the limitations of the Redarc Manager 30 system and its implementation in a large power hungry off road caravan such as the largely excellent Mountain Trail RV. In this video Dave Roberts from VANELEC takes us through how his upgrade system significantly increases the battery charging setup, changing the rooftop solar wiring, adding additional solar chargers, and massively upgrading the DC to DC charging system from the tow vehicle.
