What does it take to lead an organization through challenge, change, and growth? In this episode of In the Work, Matt Bresee sits down with Ainslie Brosig, Executive Director of the expERIEnce Children's Museum in Erie, Pennsylvania. Ainslie shares the story behind the museum’s transformation and the leadership lessons she has learned along the way. The conversation explores: • Stepping into leadership when an organization is facing financial uncertainty • Building a strong leadership team and investing in manager development • The importance of succession planning and preparing the next generation of leaders • Leading a major capital campaign and the museum’s $18.5 million expansion • Why leading by example remains one of her core leadership principles This is a thoughtful conversation about nonprofit leadership, community impact, and the real work behind building an organization that serves families and future generations. About Ainslie Brosig Ainslie Brosig has served as Executive Director of the expERIEnce Children's Museum since 2013. She has spent more than 20 years working in the nonprofit sector and holds a degree in Communications and Media Studies from Penn State Behrend.
