NOTE: I've showed the use of the 'Dose Assist' Feature here, but I had already used it once and then cancelled before the video to pre-load the detergent. 'Allergy Cotton' is necessarily a longer cycle. It's supposed to be! Longer wash times, temperature hold times, and additional rinses by default. Can't set the 'high water level' option as I'm guessing that's on by default in this program to boost rinse performance even further. ***UPDATE: With thanks to @Washerboy2006 : Apparently, these machines don't have a separate pump for the drain, and for the re-circulation feature. Instead, it's one pump, but with a diverter to direct the flow to either the water-outlet, or the re-circulation. The pumping sound at the start of the pre-wash is thus NOT a drain, because the diverter is in the correct position. However, at the start of the Main-wash stage, the diverter is not in the correct position, hence you can hear some of the water draining out. The diverter does get into the right place eventually, but not before some of the water (and detergent!) has drained away. Thus it then needs to add more water! Not sure if this programming issue only occurs on this particular cycle. I'm guessing it would only be if pre-wash is selected. I'll try pre-wash with other programs to check the results*** Some odd things going on here including some brief drains after the pre-wash and main wash initial fills (see markers below). Machine is not plumbed to a hot-fill supply (cold only), but you can't actually configure settings for that. So, it attempts to hot-fill at the start of the main wash, then fails-over to cold. Detergent: Persil Colour Liquid (for both main wash using a detergent drawer insert, and pre-wash via a dose-ball placed inside the machine). Stain Remover: Vanish White (Hydrogen Peroxide Oxygen Bleaching agent) No Conditioner (I'm in the 'no conditioner for towels' camp!) The recording exaggerates the noise a bit. I find it very quiet in operation. The machine is also extremely stable. Overall I'm happy so far with the performance. 0:00 Wash setup 1:14 Start, Dose-Assist 2:19 Start Continue, Fill 4:03 Initial Saturation 5:46 Unusual Drain 6:36 Detecting 7:33 Additional Fill 9:08 Pre-Wash 17:02 Drain 17:26 Cold Fill 17:39 Hot Fill Attempt 18:30 Failover to continued Cold Fill 18:58 Initial Start of Main Wash 19:25 Unusual Drain 2 19:59 Further Cold Fill 20:12 Main Wash 1:40:09 Interim Spin 1 1:44:51 Excess Suds Removal 1:46:52 Rinse 1 1:53:45 Interim Spin 2 2:03:01 Rinse 2 2:10:37 Interim Spin 3 2:19:28 Rinse 3 2:27:04 Interim Spin 4 2:38:44 Final Rinse 2:46:26 Drain & Balance 2:51:04 Final Spin 3:01:29 Final Drain & Rolling 3:02:52 Cycle Complete
