Vauxhall Senator CD 3.0 24V parked up for months as it won't run properly. Can we solve the problem?

We were asked to take a look at this awesome Irmscher kitted Senator CD 3.0 24v which had been parked since August due to constantly cutting out and running poorly. Our prime suspect was corroded fuel pump relay terminals, but we packed all the tools into our (frozen) Omega 2.5 V6 GLS estate and went for a look. The silky smooth straight six three litre is (to our dismay 😂) not an engine we are familiar with but all the mechanical and electrical principles of Vauxhalls during this era are the same. If you want to skip the baltic Omega faffing, the Senator stuff starts at 9 minutes 😂 We would love to come back and have a good drive of this early 90s executive (and police) icon in the summer 😁
