Central to her work was the idea that racism is a psychological defense mechanism against genetic annihilation due to the dominant genetic traits of people of color. She often examined symbols in society, linking them to racial dynamics and power structures. Throughout her career, she emphasized Black empowerment, mental health, and self-awareness, becoming a pivotal voice in discussions on race and culture.
