Identity’s first episode shows the role visual communication plays today, and how it can help people orient themselves in an unfamiliar environment. Viewers are introduced to the term ‘visual smog,’ and the ways cities can fight it today. Viewers will get to know creators who have influenced the shape of the public space. This episode introduces the work of creators such as Jiří Rathouský, Rostislav Vaněk, and Tomáš Machek. This seven-episode series is a part of an extensive project, Identity: The Story of Czech Graphic Design.
