This trading post was founded by survivors of Salem, becoming very prosperous thanks to its position close to very rural areas, which made it perfect for hunting, hence the town grew on selling, buying and if you could say so, processing food. Though rather than having a permanent population, most of its residents only come during hunting season, and then leave. Still, it has a few shops, and though it may not be the best stocked, as the town is pretty isolated, you still can find plenty of products. After the Minutemen won the War of the Commonwealth, the settlement would soon join the Minutemen, offering them the possibility to establish an outpost in exchange for their protection. This trading post serves a similar purpose as Manzanita Trading Post in the game Red Dead Redemption. #fallout4
