Day 4 in Tokyo | Food, Art, and a Giant Robot (July 4, 2023)

Day 4 was one of those Tokyo days that somehow fits everything into a single loop. We started with a low-key breakfast (FamilyMart, obviously), then spent the morning grazing our way through Tsukiji Outer Market — wagyu skewers, daifuku, sweet tamagoyaki, and fruit so expensive it deserves its own backstory. From there, we headed to Tsukishima for monjayaki — messy, runny, and completely addictive once you stop questioning it. Then a full vibe shift: across the bay to Odaiba. Wide open spaces, futuristic views, and teamLab Planets — immersive digital art where you take your shoes off and become part of the exhibit. Infinite lights, floating flowers, koi swimming around your feet… and yes, the smell of feet is real. We wrapped the night at DiverCity, standing beneath the full-scale Unicorn Gundam — nearly 20 meters tall, and capable of transforming because Tokyo. A long day. An extremely hot day.
