Get ready as I gear up for some exciting saltwater fishing during Florida’s mullet run! In this video, I unbox some awesome RigRap storage solutions and FishLab tackle gear, all in preparation for targeting saltwater giants like snook, jacks, and maybe even a tarpon! While catfishing is usually my main focus, I’m taking you along as I prepare for a different adventure. First up, RigRap has sent me some great storage boxes: the RigRap Red Box, Lure Locker Box, and RigRap Orange Box. I tried to fit my popping cork rigs into one of the RigRap boxes, but they didn’t quite fit, so I pivoted to show how my catfish dragging rig can be stored in them (perfect for anyone organizing rigs for freshwater or saltwater). Next, I give a closer look at the popping cork rig I made for this trip and show how it’ll work with my setup. Then, I unbox my new FishLab tackle box and bag—the bag is perfect for keeping my saltwater rigs on hand, and the box will be loaded with everything else. Finally, it’s all about rods and reels! I’ve got my Okuma Record Chaser rod paired with the Okuma Avenger reel—this setup has handled alligator gar, so it’ll be a thrill to test it against saltwater fighters like tarpon. Plus, I’m taking my Okuma DTR Popping Cork rod with the Okuma ITX reel, which will be great for casting popping corks to attract smaller fish with finger mullet. I hope you enjoy this saltwater prep video as much as I enjoyed creating it! If you’re here for the usual catfish content, don’t worry—I’ll be back with more soon. In the meantime, join me as I venture into saltwater fishing. Let’s get ready to fish!
