I enjoyed the new dlc so much and had so many ideas that instead of making a series of individual buildings I've decided to make a city instead. This is the first part where I lay foundations for the city and explain my method of actually designing it. How to design a city in a few easy steps: 1. Choose a theme for your city. 2. Choose the most important and relevant landmark for your theme and build it. 3. Brainstorm or research your chosen theme until you have at least four more landmarks. 4. Create a Carthesian coordinate system with your first landmark at 0,0 then make roads just like the x and y axes until you hit natural border or have enough space. 5. Build Landmarks at the ends of the axes; if you have more than 4 build them along the roads at appropriate locations (if they have special requirements). 6. Create all the missing borders (optional - not every city must have walls). 7. Build thematic districts focused around each landmark. 8. Fill all the empty space with houses. 9.
