Originally a version of Geno of After Genocide[2], he fell into a dimension between Universes and became glitched beyond repair. He now dedicates his life to cleanse the Multiverse of Anomalies, even if it means destroying all of the AUs and Out!codes in existence. Because of this, he's often known as the "Multiversal Destroyer". Sans (/sænz/) is the brother of Papyrus and a major character in Undertale. He first appears in Snowdin Forest after the protagonist exits the Ruins. He serves as a supporting character in the Neutral and True Pacifist routes, and as the final boss and heroic antagonist in the Genocide Route. Aftertale is an AU where Chara has complete control of Frisk's body and keeps RESETting the timeline for what Chara calls "research." When Frisk first started the Genocide Run, Sans feels that the only way to beat Frisk is by injecting DETERMINATION in himself. He does so just before Frisk reaches Judgement Hall, which gives him the ability to enter the SAVE screen. After 536 tries, Frisk is finally able to hit Sans. While dying, Sans walks off and, before turning to dust, has the idea of going to the SAVE screen. He does so, and after attempting to RESET, he fails; instead, the timeline is RESET by Frisk, keeping him in the SAVE screen. Sans (now nicknamed Geno by their own will) cannot leave the SAVE screen, or he will turn to dust. Chara then gains so much determination that Frisk permanently loses control of their body and joins Geno in the SAVE screen.
