We are on a rockhounding road trip in the Western part of the USA and in this video we visit Crystal Park in Montana. Crystal Park is a unique recreation area at an elevation of 7,800 feet in the Pioneer Mountains in southwest Montana. Quartz crystals are scattered liberally through the decomposed granite of the unique 220-acre site that's been reserved by the Forest Service for the popular hobby of rockhounding. Join Dominik and Jennifer as they dig to find unique Amethyst Crystals, Smoky Quartz, Scepter formations and Clear Quartz Points. This location is open seasonally from mid-June through mid-October, dependent on snow and weather conditions. The area is very remote and the climate is dry. Good luck on your digs!
