At first glance, Calyx looks like a standard sci-fi RTS — chunky units, alien creep, top-down view. But once the Calyx starts spreading, the tension hits different. What felt easy at first turned into constant pressure, and I’ve never played a strategy game that ramps like this. For me, that makes it a 7 out of 10. On my scale, 5 is the true midpoint, 6–7 means solid with promise, and 9–10 is rare.
