Lee Mill Relays 2025: Deep Bogs & Quarry Trails with Bowland Fell Runners

Welcome to Conquer The Fells! In this episode, I'm taking on the Lee Mill Relays above Bacup—a brutal 10.7km fell race famous for its deep bogs and rugged quarry terrain. I'm running with the Bowland Fell Runners, and the club was out in full force today fielding four teams (two male and two female) to tackle the Rossendale moors. 🏃 In this video: Join me as we start from the historic Stubbylee Hall and head straight into the "Valley of Stone." You'll see the massive disused workings of Lee Quarry, where the flagstones for Trafalgar Square were once mined, before we hit the open moorland where the mud really gets deep!
