With Earth destroyed and the remnants of humanity blindly clinging to the hope of finding a new homeworld, one forward scout (us) will find that a prospective colony planet is not as empty as first thought. I’ve had this game in my Steam library since it first hit early access almost a year ago; I just never got around to playing it. The Solus Project is a first-person exploration game with survival elements that’s heavy on atmosphere and lore. We take the role of an explorer searching for a new planet that humanity can colonize after Earth’s destruction (the project to find such a planet is called The Solus Project). After our exploration ship is destroyed by a mysterious blast from the planet’s surface, we are hurled our of orbit and must scavenge for supplies, keep ourselves alive, and contact the rest of humanity to warn them about this planet. I’m curious to see just how The Solus Project turned out (it was great when I played all ten minutes of its back in the day) and am really looking forward to The Solus Project gameplay and mechanics.
