You know who the worst people to talk to are? The ones who use the “what about?” argument for everything! In these troubled times, with a country so divided over politics, we need civil debate and the free exchange of ideas more than ever. But how can we get there when people like Brian Winkeljohn are all over the place? You know who we’re talking about: the guy who uses the “Whataboutism” technique. Any time you’re trying to have a conversation and you bring up a point they don’t like, they attempt to deflect it, so they don’t have to actually deal with your argument, opinion, or especially the facts. You say, "Trump did this.” They respond, “But what about Obama?” You show them footage of police brutality. They respond, "But what about gang violence?” You say, “We have too many gun deaths in this country.” They respond, "But what about swimming-pool deaths?” Super annoying! But what can we do? How can we change things so we can actually have a meaningful conversation? Let us know in the comments. And subscribe for more videos.
