Revolve Definition: Creates a 3D solid by rotating a sketch profile around a center axis. How it works: You sketch half of a profile (like the cross-section of a dome) and spin it 360°. Best for: Creating spherical or cylindrical base shapes like a showerhead, a wheel hub, or a round housing. 2. Shell Definition: Hollows out a solid body. How it works: You select the flat face of your Revolved dome and set a wall thickness. Best for: Turning a solid dome into a hollow casing or container. 3. Plane Along Path (Construction) Definition: Creates a sketch plane perpendicular to a specific point on a line or curve. How it works: The Problem: You have a curved dome. You want to drill a hole or extrude a nozzle sticking out of the side of the curve, but you can't sketch on a curved face. The Solution: You select the sketch line (arc) used for the Revolve. You create a Plane Along Path and drag it to the exact point on the curve where you want the feature. Best for: Positioning sketches on curved geometry without doing complex math. 4. Extrude Definition: Adds or removes material. How it works: You sketch a circle on your new Plane Along Path. You extrude it outward to make a nozzle or inward to cut a port. Best for: Creating the detailed features that stick out of the main body. 5. Circular Pattern Definition: Duplicates features around a central axis. How it works: You model one nozzle using the Plane Along Path + Extrude method. Then you pattern it 6 or 8 times around the center. Best for: Creating radial symmetry, like spokes on a wheel or holes in a showerhead. 6. Hole Definition: Creates standard drill holes. How it works: Adds the central mounting point or water inlet. Aerodynamics: Smoothing the edges of spokes.
