The first thing you need to do is ensure the setting lever is positioned to the I position which means it is ready to start or run. If the position is set to he O position it will not start. Next you will press the manual fuel pump bulb at least 5 times, even if the bulb is already filled with fuel. After that turn the choke knob to the proper position (furthest right) as indicated in the video if you are starting it cold for the first time. If the leaf blower has been running already and is warm you can select the MIDDLE choke position and start it from there. Place the unit securely on the ground and ensure everything is clear of the nozzle exhaust. With your foot firmly seated on the bottom plate of the leaf blower reach and grab the starter. Slowly begin to pull the starter until you feel it engage then give it a brisk and strong pull. Do not pull the rope all the way to the full length or you may damage the rope. Slowly bring the starter rope back into the housing to ensure it winds up properly. Crank the engine up to three times before you can safely put the choke into the middle position and continue to crank the starter string until the engine fires. Once the engine begins to run you can blip the throttle trigger which automatically returns the choke to the I position. If you are operating in the cold it is advised to open the throttle slightly after starting to allow the leaf blower to warm up for a short period of time before operation. Once you are done with the leaf blower, push the setting lever to the O position to turn off the engine.
