The "Lift the Shadow Curse" quest in Baldur's Gate 3 revolves around reuniting Oliver and Thaniel, two young souls affected by a mysterious curse. Lift the shadow curse quest will help us lift the shadow curse in the shadow forest. Begin the quest by searching for the missing Thaniel, discover Art Cullagh in Jahera's camp during Act 2. When you first interract with him, the woman near her will tell you that she found some of his belongings, including a letter. Read the letter in your inventory to progress the quest. Art Cullagh knows where Thaniel is. To wake Art Cullagh up go to the house of healing and kill Malus Thorm and loot battered lute. Play the lute to Art Cullagh and learn where Thaniel is. Meet Halsin by the lakeshore, Halsin goes through a portal and saves Thaniel, protect Halsin while he is inside the portal. After Halsin saves Thaniel , talk to halsin in the camp. Then head to the house in deep shadows location, within the Shadow Cursed Lands. Play hide and seek with Oliver. There will be enemies spawning ( mummy, daddy and doggy ) on the second round of hide and seek. Kill the fake family and continue hide and seek. If you do not play hide and seek , fake family that is supposed to spawn on the second round of hide and seek will spawn when you go into portal to convince thaniel and will make the fight much harder. Oliver will be on the move when he is invisible during hide and seek so there is no certain spot you can find him. After finding Oliver second time, go into the portal, and kill shadows Oliver spawns to remove his dome. DO NOT ATTACK OLIVER DIRECTLY. He will reflect the damage twicefold. You can bring Halsin to this fight to convince Oliver. After the fight conversation will trigger with Halsin and convince him to recombine with Thaniel.
