The Sea Ranch Forum presented an historic look at wildfires on the Mendonoma Coast as well as the history of fire fighting agencies and the forecast for the 2023 fire season. Speakers were: Bonnie Plakos, Chief of North Sonoma Coast Fire Protection District Jason Warner, Chief of the South Coast Fire Protection District Redwood Miller, Captain of CALFIRE The Sea Ranch Station Marshall Turbeville, Batallion Chief of Batallion 11 of the Sonoma Lake Napa Unit of CAL FIRE Susie Gilley, Safety and Security Manager of The Sea Ranch Association Jackie Gardener, Chair of the Fire Safety Task Force and longtime member of The Sea Ranch Fire Safe Council The host was Linda McCabe, Chair of The Sea Ranch Forum There was some difficulty with the audio/visual equipment at the Del Mar Center. It needed software updating and the first half was recorded using Zoom without the fancy equipment. This resulted in some audio feedback and challenges hearing the speakers. Sorry about that, but at least this event was recorded for future viewing. The Sea Ranch Forum is not an official function of The Sea Ranch Association. It is organized by Sea Ranch members and is independent of the Board of Directors and staff.
