في هذا الفيديو أخذتكم معي في يوم كامل داخل مدينة حمص القديمة، مدينة لها روح خاصة وتاريخ عريق بين حاراتها وأبوابها الحجرية القديمة. بدأت يومي في الصباح الباكر بجولة مشي في حارات حمص القديمة، حيث الهدوء والجمال والبساطة التي تشعر معها أن الزمن توقف هنا. أول محطة كانت عند محل الجلبجي حيث جربت لأول مرة حلوى حمصية تقليدية اسمها المغطوطة، وكانت تجربة مميزة فعلاً، وبعدها حليت بصحن رز بحليب بطعم بسيط وأصيل. وأثناء تجوالي في الحارات تعرفت على أحد أهل حمص الطيبين، ودعاني لزيارة بيت عربي عمره أكثر من 300 سنة، جلسنا فيه على فنجان قهوة عربية وتحدثنا قليلاً عن تاريخ البيت وحياة الناس في هذه المدينة الجميلة. بعدها بدأت تجربة من أشهر أكلات حمص: الكبة الحمصية المشوية على الفحم. تعرفت على طريقة تحضيرها خطوة بخطوة، وحتى جربت أشوي الكبة بيدي على الفحم، وكانت تجربة ممتعة جداً. وخلال اليوم ذهبت لأداء صلاة العصر في مسجد خالد بن الوليد أحد أهم معالم مدينة حمص، وبعد الصلاة قضينا وقتاً لطيفاً في ساحات الجامع حيث جربت ركوب الحصان والدراجة الرباعية. وفي نهاية اليوم ختمت الجولة بوجبة غداء من لحم الخروف المشوي في أحد المطاعم في حمص، وكانت تجربة الشواء على الغاز مختلفة ومميزة بطعمها. كانت رحلة جميلة مليئة بالأكل الشهي واللقاءات الطيبة واللحظات التي لا تُنسى في مدينة حمص. In this video, I take you with me on a full-day journey inside the Old City of Homs — a city with a unique spirit and a rich history hidden between its narrow alleys and ancient stone gates. I started my day early in the morning with a walking tour through the old neighborhoods of Homs, where the calm atmosphere, beauty, and simplicity make you feel as if time has stopped. My first stop was at Al-Jalbaji shop, where I tried for the first time a traditional Homs dessert called “Al-Maghtouta.” It was truly a special experience. After that, I enjoyed a simple yet authentic plate of rice pudding. While wandering through the alleys, I met one of the kind people of Homs who invited me to visit a traditional Arabic house that is more than 300 years old. We sat together over a cup of Arabic coffee and talked about the history of the house and life in this beautiful city. After that, I began one of the most famous food experiences in Homs: grilled Homs-style kibbeh cooked over charcoal. I learned how it is prepared step by step and even tried grilling the kibbeh myself over the charcoal — it was a very enjoyable experience. Later in the day, I went to perform the Asr prayer at Khalid ibn Al-Walid Mosque, one of the most important landmarks of Homs. After the prayer, we spent some pleasant time in the mosque’s courtyard where I tried horse riding and a quad bike. At the end of the day, I finished the tour with a lunch of grilled lamb at one of the restaurants in Homs. The gas-grilled meat had a unique and delicious flavor.
