SMILE: Moving Image Camera We’re kicking things off with energy and creativity as the SMILE Project enters an exciting new phase this term! Our social media spotlight this week shines on the talented film group within the Moving Image team, who are deep in the creative process — assembling and shooting key footage that will feature in one of the many short films set to premiere on the final project date. From storyboarding to camera setups, these students are bringing their visions to life one frame at a time. We also had the pleasure of sitting down with Zara and Alexa, who shared insights into their creative journeys so far. From early concept development to overcoming unexpected challenges, their reflections show just how much progress has been made — and how much passion fuels this project. It’s inspiring to see how their collaboration and drive continue to push the boundaries of student-led filmmaking. A huge thank you goes out to Chloe, who has been providing consistent guidance and support to the team — helping shape ideas into real, impactful work. We’d also like to recognise the amazing effort of Angus and Michael, whose behind-the-scenes work was instrumental in producing this week’s social media reel.
