So one of the hardest things about this technique is determining how well your hair should give you style. What I would suggest is almost start with dry hair, clean hair, and then just re-wet it. So I just mist it through a little bit of bleach spray. So what we're going to do is we're going to create a really fun cute curled look. Our model today has lots of layers. So I'm actually going to do two sections. If you had hair that was more one length or just a soft little bevel on the edge you would maybe just do one roll. But you could also do two rolls if you wanted it really curly. So what I'm going to do is I'm starting by taking in a section at the top of the hair. So I'm just sectioning it off and I'm just going to pin it out of the way for now. And nothing about this has to be perfect. That's one of the best things about it. You'll actually get a better result if it's not perfect. Just sectioning it off into two sections. So what I've done is, depending where your layers start, I've sectioned off where almost the bottom of the section is where that top layer begins. The reason I'm doing that is I want to be able to control all of that. So again, if you have one length hair, you don't have to worry it. You're leaving about about a two or three inch section from the hair line to the part. So we're going to start right here. And we're going to use regular bobby pins. We're just going to create sections of hair. And I'm going to twist them down and then I'm going to stick my finger on it and twist around my finger. And then I'm going to take one bobby pin and I'm going to pin it. Depending on how fast your hair dries, sometimes you can do this technique just while you're putting your makeup on or getting ready for the day and then take it down and you should be ready just before you leave for work.
