While waiting for some of my most anticipated dramas to air this summer, I decided to skim through some mini dramas to see if any of them were worth watching. I tried many of them but only 2-3 caught my attention and made me want to stay until the end. Recently, I somehow stumbled upon this short drama called "The Only Girl You Haven't Seen" and it seemed pretty interesting right from the start so I decided to give this drama a go. For a low budget mini drama this one was pretty entertaining if you don't go in with super high expectations. The two main leads are fairly new unknown actors but I've got to say that their acting is way better than some of the more popular actors out there. Both main leads' acting was pretty solid and I personally thought they performed well in all their scenes, especially in the emotional scenes which are normally quite difficult even for actors with more acting experience. I also loved the fact that all the actors in this drama used their real voices. Big thumbs up to the production team for not using voice actors to dub the cast. And I was pleasantly surprised that the female lead wasn't your usual cutesy/innocent type of character. Instead, we have a very strong, independent and intelligent female lead which is often lacking in Chinese dramas. The female lead's (Wen Mo Yan) acting stood out the most for me since the beginning, therefore, I really hope to see her and the male lead Wang Zu Yi receiving more projects in the future because they clearly have a lot of potential. At the end of the day, "The Only Girl You Haven't Seen" is still a low-cost web drama so as long as you don't expect it to be some amazing masterpiece, then you'll probably end up enjoying it. There are few weird editing here and there but I'll give it a pass since it's not a high budget production so I think they've already done a good job overall.
