However, with the slightly more spacious fit comes heel slippage, lockdown isn’t the best but it is tolerable if you wore thicker socks such as the Nike Elite ones. True to size is still the most ideal option, but there’s certainly no need to size up. Heel cushion became softer than the KD 16, this is a responsive midsole with decent comfort and impact protection. The translucent outsole even performed perfectly fine for me on clean or dusty courts, nice and squeaky for those looking for a consistent grip. Otherwise, this should be a fun and smooth ride for most players. Compared to a shoe that it’s very similar to - the GT Hustle 2, this fills in the lack of a midfoot plate to provide better torsional support and upper rigidity.
