The Entry Physical Competency Assessment (EPCA), is a key step in the recruitment process to becoming a sworn officer with the Australian Federal Police. Through testing endurance, strength, and cardiovascular fitness, the EPCA ensures applicants meet the baseline fitness standards required to start a career with the AFP. Testing sessions are held in various cities across Australia. For Canberra applicants, the EPCA takes place at the AFP College in Barton, which is also where most of our recruit training is conducted.
