Let’s talk honestly about vegan travel 🌱✈️. In this video, I share my real experience staying at the Hernö Gin Hotell—a place known for its charm, its design, and of course, its gin 🍸✨. But as a vegan traveller, I left feeling frustrated and undervalued. Despite reaching out in advance to let them know a vegan guest was arriving, I was greeted by a breakfast buffet that was… measly at best: 🥣 A small tub of vegan yoghurt 🧈 A pat of vegan butter 🍄 Some soggy fried vegetables And that’s it. No hummus. No fresh fruit platter. No dairy-free milk alternatives besides oat milk in coffee. No plant-based cold cuts, no scrambled tofu, no vegan pastries—nothing remotely thoughtful. 🤷‍♂️🥄 I’m not asking for the moon 🌕—just equal value. I paid the same rate as everyone else, yet my meal was a third of what others got. And while the hotel excels in many areas, food inclusivity is not one of them. And in 2025, that’s no longer acceptable. In this short video, I take you inside the beautiful but deeply disappointing breakfast service 😬.
