Love as the biggest act of activism and resistance

On Sept.r 13, I had the great privilege of speaking at the beautiful celebration of love between Julian Bohn and Frederike Berendsen. These two musicians and founders of Music Declares Emergency Netherlands live with a big heart. Their wedding was more than just a celebration of their happiness—it was a musical feast in which love was shared by and with all of us. Julian and Fré gave me complete freedom to come as I am: with a Bible in hand and a heavy dose of jet lag. It resulted in a passionate sermon about love as the greatest act of resistance, especially in these times. A message for all of us, reminding us never to allow our hearts to grow “cold” amid the violence and injustice of this world, and to never let our love fade. Whatever you believe—or can no longer believe—let this message make your heart beat again. Thank you, Julian and Fré, for letting me rediscover faith in love at your wedding and for giving me the chance to speak these words of life.
