Try String Walking in your traditional archery shooting. With string walking the traditional archer can more easily obtain tighter shot groups. http://www.catholichack.com/godisgood... The string walking method allows the traditional archer to always place the tip of the arrow on the desired impact point. String walking is essentially a variation on the Gap method only the gaps are charted on the string and not the target. The archer will grip the string, beneath the nock of the arrow, at the point that corresponds to the gap of the distance you are to the target. At 15 and closer yards the grip will be some 5 to 7 inches beneath the nock. As you get further away from your target your grip will get closer to the nock. Like in any shooting method in traditional archery, you must have consistent, repeatable shot cycle in order to take full advantage of the string walking technique. One of the key benefits in using this shooting style in traditional archery is the ability to more easily obtain tighter shot groups. If you have never tried string walking, I would highly encourage you to give it a try. You never know, you may like it. Do you use the string walking method? Or have you tried it?
