How does VASER LIPOSUCTION work? The VASER ultrasound is a small probe that transmits sound energy to break up and emulsify fatty tissue on contact while preserving the other important surrounding tissues. The VASER ultrasound affects the body in three steps. First, a saline solution or tumescent fluid mixed with an anesthetic will be injected into the targeted area. Then, ultrasound probes will be inserted into the skin through a small incision to break up the fatty tissue. Maximum amount of fat removed during liposuction is equal to 10% of the patient’s body weight. However, the removed fat is measured in liters instead of kilograms. For example, a maximum 7 liters of fat can be removed from a patient, who weighs 70kilograms. Does VASER liposuction only remove fat cells?
