A veteran zookeeper at Safari World in Bangkok was killed on Wednesday after being mauled by several lions in front of visitors. Officials said the man, who had worked with big cats for more than 20 years, was attacked after stepping out of his vehicle in violation of safety rules. The lions dragged him to the ground and mauled him for about 15 minutes before colleagues pulled him away; he later died at the hospital.
