President Armacost(s) Message: 2025 Welcome and an Invitation

UND’s president and first lady wish everyone a “Happy New Year” as the new academic year is just around the corner. In his first video address of the “new year,” Andrew Armacost is joined by his wife, Kathy, to invite the campus community to the State of the University Address, which will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 21, in the Memorial Union ballroom. At the State of the University Address, the president and fellow University administrators will share what’s to come in the new academic year. Armacost remarks that in just a few days, campus will be teeming with people — perhaps amounting to a record headcount of students at UND. Kathy invites faculty, staff and UND Foundation employees to come to University House for a picnic following the State of the University Address. “Picnic with the Prez” will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on the front lawn of the president’s residence, and RSVPs (via online survey) are requested by Friday, Aug. 15, to get an accurate count of those planning to attend.
